Martha Schulenburg is an Assistant Editor for RILM Abstract of Music Literature with Full Text and handles print materials for related incoming publications.

Martha earned a Ph.D. in Musicology at the CUNY Graduate Center. Her research concerns the representation of female character tropes in popular song across various forms of mass media. Her other scholarship concerns the use of sound and diegetic music in the works of David Lynch, and is to be published in a forthcoming collection by Routledge. Ms. Schulenburg previously studied bassoon performance at Towson University and earned a MM in musicology at the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University. Prior to joining RILM, she was a member of the digitization staff at Répertoire International de la Presse Musicale (RIPM).
