As Data Coordinator, Lindsey Eckenroth facilitates database import and export processes for RILM Abstracts, RILM Abstracts with Full Text, and the Index to Printed Music. With the rest of the technology team, she also helps to develop and manage RILM’s databases and internal database interfaces.
Eckenroth is a PhD candidate in musicology at the CUNY Graduate Center. She holds a BMus in flute performance from New York University as well as a MA in musicology from Brooklyn College. Her areas of specialization include popular music and film studies, which she is currently approaching through the lens of rockumentaries. Her work has been published in Rock Music Studies, American Music Review, and Women & Music, as well as in the collection Mapping the Rockumentary: Images of Sound and Fury (forthcoming from Edinburgh University Press in fall 2021). Outside of RILM, Lindsey teaches at Brooklyn College and works as a Graduate Assistant at the Hitchcock Institute for Studies in American Music. She is also an active flutist, performing in and around NYC as a member of The Curiosity Cabinet, an interdisciplinary new music ensemble.
