Andrew Horwitz is a New York City-based composer, saxophonist, and software developer. Andrew’s compositions have been commissioned for and performed by musicians such as Clay Jenkins, John and Bob Sneider, and members of the United States Marine Band; as a saxophonist, Andrew has shared the stage with Branford Marsalis, Jim Snidero, and Terell Stafford, among others.

Andrew currently works as an Application Developer for RILM, helping to build a searchable interface for the Musik in Geschichte und Gegenwart encyclopedia. Andrew also frequently contributes to the Verovio music engraving software built by the Swiss office of RISM, and a variety of applications produced by the DDMAL lab at McGill University.
