Jason Lee Oakes oversees popular music literature at RILM Abstracts.

Since receiving his PhD in Ethnomusicology from Columbia University, Dr. Oakes has taught classes at The Cooper Union and The New School, and has been published in various academic anthologies and journals. He also currently writes for and maintains the The Deli NYC magazine website–reporting on and promoting emerging local artists.
