Jason Lee Oakes oversees popular music literature at RILM Abstracts.
Since receiving his PhD in Ethnomusicology from Columbia University, Dr. Oakes has taught classes at The Cooper Union and The New School, and has been published in various academic anthologies and journals. He also writes for and runs a prominent indie music blog and sees dozens of upcoming local NYC bands (and other types of musical acts) per month.
