Anthony Kosar is an Associate Editor at RILM responsible for publications in German and French.
A philosopher by training, Kosar is interested in the ways in which language, ethics, and aesthetics have together, over time, become the combined object of a broader critique of contemporary culture. He is a Nietzsche scholar whose research has been published in the series Nietzsche-Lektüren and in The Agonist: A Nietzsche Circle Journal, which he has also co-edited since 2023. More recently, he has begun to turn his attention to Adorno’s aesthetic theory, Wagnerism, and the compositions and ethnomusicological writings of Béla Bartók, among others.
He earned his Doctor philosophiae (Dr. phil.) from the Philosophical Faculty of the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg and is currently preparing his first book—on the central role of language and grammar in Nietzsche’s critique of morals—for publication.
