On Friday, 8 October, RILM will host a focus group session for conference attendees of the College Music Society National Conference, Rochester. Staff member Elizabeth Martin will introduce and demonstrate RILM Abstracts with Full Text, RILM Music Encyclopedias, MGG Online, and the Index to Printed Music, with emphasis on topics such as social justice and cultural diversity. The interactive focus group will take place at 12:15 pm in Highland D. Boxed lunches will be available for takeaway after the focus group. Reservations are available on a first-come basis with RSVP to conferences@rilm.org.

RILM will participate in the 10th European Music Analysis Conference, which takes place in Moscow and via the Zoom platform from 20 to 24 September 2021. 

On Monday, 20 July, 18:30-22:00 UTC, Georg Burgstaller, Editor and Product Coordinator for MGG Online will present the paper “Theory, Analysis, and Beyond: RILM’s Digital Collections and Advanced Tools”. Leaning on the work of Heinrich Schenker as a case study, he unravels the ways in which RILM’s tools and collections—RILM Abstracts of Music Literature, MGG Online and RILM Music Encyclopedias—aid researchers in the field of analysis and also in other areas of music research.For further information about the conference, please visit the EUROMAC site.
