In late July 2021, RILM inaugurated its social-media presence on Instagram.

The RILM Instagram account, which can be found under the handle rilm_music, features global and transdisciplinary resources covered in RILM Abstracts, RILM Music Encyclopedias, MGG Online, and the Index to Printed Music. With an average two to three posts per week, the RILM Instagram account brings to the fore diverse content of these resources. Instagram users can use this link to follow account activities, receive news, or leave comments. With the foray into this forum, RILM hopes that music researchers will find valuable information relevant to their activities.

RILM’s activities at this year’s virtual meeting of the American Musicology Society extends to two events.

RILM is the proud sponsor of the panel “Centering Discomfort in Global Music History”, organized by the Global Music History Study Group. The panel takes place on 21 November, 1:00 pm–2:50pm EST.

RILM is the organizer of “Bibliography Now!”, a session devoted to discussing research strategies as they pertain to bibliography. The session takes place on 11 November, 5:00 pm–6:30pm EST and is hosted by Michael Lupo and Georg Burgstaller.
